Join the NY Sun Works team for an informational presentation introducing participants to the science of hydroponics and its importance in the future of sustainable agriculture. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and collaborate with peers to brainstorm about how technology like this could be integrated into science classrooms for hands-on, student-centered learning. Participants will then have the opportunity to learn about a design challenge to create their very own passive hydroponic systems. Our team will demonstrate how to create your own DIY hydroponic system at home, which participants can re-create on their own time or with students in the future.
